Great little camera, 12.1 MP (4011 × 3011), & HD video (1280x720). I wanted a point and click to hold me over until I can get a Sony DSLR camera. And the fact that you can pick this camera for under $200 makes it all the better![]()
I needed a micro camera for hiking and fishing so I picked up this one. Pretty good price at 170, and love the 1 second from power on to snapping pics. So far its perfect for what I got it for.

Most excellent tripod. Not even slight bending even at full length even with a full load on the head with over 40km wind gust (D300/D10/f2.8 70-200mm) <<<Some serious weight.
Speaking of a ball/head, make sure you pay the money for a good one with over 25-50lbs of load. It'll cost you from around $250-450 for a most excellent one.
Swing over to Adorama and B&H and read the reviews. Don't do like I did and skimp on my first ball/head/plate. lol Pay the coinage and you will not be disappointed.![]()

Lurch, that is the camera you use for the pics that you have been posting?????![]()
Well, I ordered my tri-pod today. Hopefully, I'll be able to catch some nice shots and post for you.
No, I was just kidding. At one time this same model was one of my favorite cameras, years ago when I was getting into digicams. It's a good little camera and takes decent shots but it's a pain to use compared to newer models and I'd kind of hate to go back to using these again.
