comcast download upgrade??

Yesterday I had a 3 megabit download but now today it is back to the 1500 kbps... what happend? Are they testing for the switchover? Did anyone else notice this? I am in brighton, michigan.

It could be testing i heard that most of the upgrades will be closer to xmas time so be good or santa won't give u an upgrade.

They may have just set your Local Node for 3Mbps Operation, and must of been playing with it.

If you had 3 mb down yesterday, turn off your pc, (if you have a router, pull the plug on that, too) pull the power cord out of the cable modem for 20 seconds, plug it back in. WAIT for the power and cable light to go solid, IE. the modem is online, then turn on your router (if you have one) then your pc.
Comcast is testing the 3mb speeds in 14 markets now, hopefully it will be nation wide before 2004.

All I have to say is Comcast better take care of their Pro customer's or I'm switching back down to a Silver account!

Word from above about Comcast Pro Accounts is that the Download speed is increased to 4 mb down, upload a screaming 384.
Silver accounts are just residential accounts like you and I have.
