How bad did i screw up

Okay I was working at my job for about 4-5yrs recently
two months ago i called off sick, which i don't do alot.

I got fired there's more my boss (Carol) was being a pain the in the butt the last two months i worked there. The owner her boss said that he'll "hire me back and this getting fired was NOT all my fault".

Now here comes the booboo I get a call from a computer site/company they asked why i left well I told her "I was having trouble with boss and it's kinda of a long story".

Then she kempt pressing the issues "I go you better talk to the owner about this one".

She asked me a couple questions i knew i screwed up on the whole reason of leaving past job, but later on I said could you make a note saying that the boss/owner whould reccommend me to anyone. So did that fix what was broken??

Okay here's the jist of it.

He got laid off. He and his boss didn't get along, maybe that's what got him fired. The owner will hire him back.

He told the interviewee that he left the job because problems with boss. Interviewee kept asking what type or problems. He was inconsistent with the answers. He think he screwed it up a bit. At the end, he told the interviewee to talk to the owner and said the owner would recommend him.

    Did I get it right?

I would call the job prospect and ask if they were able to understand what had happend offer any information fro any further questions they may have. You get to open that line and possibly clear up any mis information your previous employer may provided... It may be just enough to land you that job!

    keeping in touch is good.

Good business practice would be shooting them a thank you letter for the interview. Hell, I would personally hand deliver the letter to the interviewers themselves. In that letter I would butter yourself up and and also them for inviting you over for the said interview.

But PLEASE get someone to proofread it first! If it looks like your post, you will do yourself more harm than good. I am NOT trying to be an ass here, just trying to give you some honest advice.
