How can the universe not be infinite?

    How????

Something has to exist beyond the universe. How can "nothing" be after the universe. What IS nothing?

    Exactly that...nothing...strange concept..........
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, and prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own for the children and the children yet unborn and the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.

If we can't comprehend it, doesn't mean it is or isn't there.

edit: I Re-read the Thread topic; it is infinite as far as we can comprehend? Like a globe perhaps.

In the begining there was nothing but ar highly compressed thing about the size of an atom maybe even smaller. Then Kaboom (The Big Bang) And all the matter and stuff that was so compressed started expanding. And it will keep expanding untill it runs out of energy, then it will all come crashing back in. Take an Cosmology class.
    Respect it.

No the universe is finite, it just keeps expanding. There is alot of stuff we don't understand yet or haven't found such as the illusive Dark Matter.
    Respect it.

Who knows? Maybe it was created maybe it was always there.

It's hard to comprehend stuff with out limits, or something that has been around forever.

Your right. Alot of questions and who even knows if they are the right questions......

*edit* although........energy has to have a source so something had to have "created" the building blocks of the universe but then something had to create whatever "created" the building blocks but then something had to "create" whatever "created" that, which brings us back to:

What I said above was just the most recent theory, it just seems to make the most sense to me, and also fits into theology aswell depending on how you look at it. Cosmology/Astronomy has always interested me. Cosmology more so than Astronomy although the go hand in hand.
    Respect it.

Every normal man must be tempted at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
I often wonder if the voices in my head ever get frustrated because I'm just too damn lazy to climb that clock tower.
