    Long time user first time poster need help tweaking..

    Hi I love this site you guys helped me way back when i used to have cable and now i have it again so i need to tweek it...I downloaded TCP Optimizer and set it to extreme and used the tweeks for page loading and dns and everything seems to be great...but my upload speed droped from 320 to 120 is there anything i can do to get my speed back up to 320-340 and still keep my download speed? when i did a speed test i got 2.9mbs download and 120kbs upload the download rocks but the upload sucks ;(

    Earthlink speed
    2.0mb download
    upload 348k

    TCP options string = 020405b40103030301010402
    MTU = 1500
    MTU is fully optimized for broadband.
    MSS = 1460
    Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which equals MSS.

    Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 513920
    RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 3 bits
    Unscaled Receive Window = 64240

    RWIN is a multiple of MSS
    Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
    256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
    128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
    64240 (MSS x 44)
    bandwidth * delay product:

    Your RcvWindow limits you to: 20556.8 kbps (2569.6 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
    Your RcvWindow limits you to: 8222.72 kbps (1027.84 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
    MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
    Time to live left = 49 hops

    TTL value is ok.
    Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
    Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
    IP type of service field (RFC1349) = 00000000

    *edited* I've reached my cap of 2.0mbs 360 up but is there anymore tweeks to improve ping time? right now i get about 50-100

    Set your RWIN to 64240 (reboot) and see what happens with respect to your speeds.

    if you mean 250 KB/s, as reported by a download in Internet Explorer, that is actually 2000 kbps, 8 bits in a byte.

    Even more importantly.....who's your ISP provider? lol Awesome speeds..
    The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, and prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own for the children and the children yet unborn and the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.

    You're confused.

    384 kbps = 384 kiloBITS per second

    It also = 48 KiloBYTES per second

    Divide by 8
