Hey, nice aerial shot! That's "Stonington Borough"....also known as "Stonington Village"...the historical fishing fleet town. Was mostly made up of Portugese families...but with the fishing industry taking such a huge hit over the past couple of decades with regulations....it's been dwindling, and rich New Yorkers moving into the "quaint" little village, driving up prices of what used to be poor old housing.

That little island you see in the middle...that's "Sandy Point"...that's my playground in the summertime. That whole area is where I spend most of my boating time. It gets packed out there.

OK, see the distance from that little beach island to the tip of Stonington Point peninsula, say where the line begins for the arrow pointing to the Inn? Take that distance, keep going to the right side 3 times...off the right side of the map. There are two more peninsula's to the right...after that second one, you'll be at my cove, where my house is.

Probably Sat/Sun, since most peeps work, and doing any distance on Friday to get here in time would be tough.

my plan would be to make the trip Fri
do whatever sat and leave Sun morning....

    as far as dates go..
    my schedule is open..

    I'm off usually Fri
    and every Sat/Sun
I'd request a personal holiday on fri to make sure I don't have to work..

no weekend is better than teh next for me..it's all the same
tell me teh date, so I can 'book' a flight and reserve a hotel room or whatever..

ok so, September 6th & 7th if I am not mistaken......hmmmmmm...drill is on the 20th and 21st. Well, I could take Friday and Monday off so I have plenty of recovery time I think I will be there. Where would you recomend lodging at? I don't need a lot really. I figure just a place to wash my @$$ and rest it. Just give me a holler and let me know.

    Thanks,

I will post links for places to stay near me, and try to look into transportation options to post from the airports. Bradley airport, in Hartford CT, is about the same distance from me as TF Green airport which is by Providence, RI. Yet TF Green is a shorter drive, under an hour from my pad. Bradley airport can take longer because of driving through congested Hartford.

    Hey! Wait a minute!

I have confirmed reservations at "YOSC Famous 5 Star Hotel" that features clean & spacious rooms with great views, 24 hour room service, hot and cold running women, complimentary limo service, laundry service, fully stocked bar, superb dining... All this and more, 3 full action packed days for the low price of $1.47 You can't beat it...

AAA gave it a full 5 star rating and Siskel & Ebert gave it 2 thumbs up!

It's a good thing you didn't mention a massage parlor....I'd have to turn you away on that one.
