What the hell are you people thinking?

That movie is frickin HILARIOUS, Depp and Benderas (sp?) do amazing jobs.

The acting is greta, the screenplay is a damn good adaptation, and I think over all it blows Bill Murray's "Where the Buffalo Roam" way out of the water.

Everyone I've talked to has loved the movie also. It is warped and a bit drug skewed, but that is the book too, and overall it's very well done IMO.

IT'S THE SEARCH FOR THE AMERICAN DREAM! You would probably have to have ingested a fair amount of questionable substances for it to have actually made sense. I connected with it in a way that an sXe person probably never could. Ah well, as it's already been said, read the book, it's even better.

"Every now and then when your life gets complicated and the weasels start closing in, the only cure is to load up on heinous chemicals and then drive like a bastard from Hollywood to Las Vegas ... with the music at top volume and at least a pint of ether."

Never saw the movie...Loved the book.

I read the book three times. When I went to see it at the theater, nobody else seemed to get it besides the wife and I.

I agree with Humboldt, but it is an acquired taste.
When they kick at your front door, how you gonna come? With your hands at your head, or the trigger of your gun?

The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, and prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own for the children and the children yet unborn and the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.
