Lightbulb Question about RAM Managing Porgrams

Okay....Do these programs actually do something...??

    How benifetial are they..?

Maxmem and all those kinds of programs that flush out the dll's not used...

Are the ones that defrag the ram better...??

    how 'bout cacheman...?
The only way to stop software piracy, is to make games SO cheap, it's not even worth burning. That might be a while..hehe

In my opinio they are a waste, especially in Windows 2K & XP. In those OSs they are a complete waste. In 98 & ME you can manually tweak the settings these apps alter very easily.

I don't think this thread was about the system cache, it was about RAM "defragmenters".

No OS needs these really, however XP has this feature "built in" so to speak, and you could use Cacheman to turn it on, it is the unload DLL files affter use feature.
