This Site is slow as hell
I have logged onto about 10 sites since I got back from town but my home page takes about 5 mins to load each page(Home page---->Speedguide.net) can someone give me a reason? maybe it is the weekend and loads of ppl are on ya wonderful site except it is not so wonderful at the min I am getting pretty mad that my favourite site fails to load very quickly. anyway if anyone has any Idea's let us know please?

your not alone. the SG management is doing it's best to update to a newer faster system as this one is not the best.
hopefully soon. i'm 56k and it is painfully slow at times. oh well the reward is when you do get in it's home to a great bunch of people.

Minir I have a cable modem and I have never noticed that is has been slow before I have always had a fast connection except now? Why?
How long have you been back in town? Did you know that the forums server is at a new address? There was a change and things don't always work the way we're used to now. Philip nows about it and we're waiting for the new upgrade. How soon this is going to happen ? Not poking fun at you, just don't know how long you've been gone. You can read more here and here.

This site has had a few DOS attacks as I recall. They said they're gonna contact the FBI if it happened again.
yep, it's kinda slow. Don't complain, just hold on and give them sometime. It's not very easy to maintain a website

It was neither a DOS nor our servers, rather a problem with the routers at the NoC where one of the servers is located. Sorry about the inconvenience, everything should be working just fine now.
