Renegade has to be the best game I've ever played multiplayer wise so i guess id like more of them. MOHAA creators for EA teamed up with westwood. Can you say command and conquer and the best FPS creators making a game. Im smelling renegade 2
I'd like to see a game like GTA3 but where you could actually go into all the buildings in the city and each room in each building...and have stories based around that idea. Maybe there is a game like that and I'm just unaware of it.

Hmm, I'd like to see a game with total freedom. no char classes etc, just freedom.
Either that or the total carnage that would be TFC 2![]()

I'd like to see another turn-based strategy game like X-Com come out. There was also one called Soldiers at War which was really badass.

Vice City also allows you to enter certain buildings, but its still somewhat limited and not exactly what you're talking about.Originally posted by X-Nemesis

Probably the closest any game has come to that is Shenmue. I have yet to see a game with that much detail since, which is part of the reason why the games took so many years to make. The second game is even larger, and its certainly easy to get lost in the sheer number of streets, buildings, and rooms that you encounter.
The problem with doing a game with that much detail is simply that, too much detail. The amount of work it takes to make a game "real" like that is more than enough to bankrupt most developers. It does certainly help in the atmosphere, and since many games suffer from "consolitis" when it comes to level designs (even on the PC), allowing you more freedom is certainly a breath of fresh air. But the simple fact that its time consuming and therefore expensive, is one reason why you won't see too many games like that. It HAS to be time consuming too, because if they just replicated all of the rooms in a building to look the same (thus saving a lot of time and effort), that somewhat ruins the effect of the whole idea, as one room is just another carbon copy of the last one.
something unusual with new technology.Using VR ....something what ur really feeling when ur inside game (not playing it on your monitor with keyboard) ...
revolution in gaming industry![]()
ok I'll tell u the truth..

I'm not sure if anyone played "Daggerfall" when it came out. It was an open ended RPG put out by Bethseda Softworks. The way they got around the problem of having literally thousands upon thousands of locations that you could go to was to have the "dungeons" randomly generated before you entered them.
I think only 8 or 9 dungeons were prefab to go along with the main plotline. The rest were basically unique, although you would see reoccuring sections mixed and matched in different locations. It was a revolutionary game at the time and paved the way for the big hits like Ultima Online and Everquest.
I could see a game like GT3 where you could get out and go into buildings that were randomly generated based on themes. Like clubs, office buildings, shopping stores, or whatever. You could also have a few pre-fab areas like Hospital, Police Station, and maybe a stadium or mall.
Someone needs to get working on this![]()
