    Smile External Hard Drives

I have a question about xternal hard drives. What are the pros and cons. I do realize that they cost more then installing a larger one internally, but I am looking at one so I can transfer files from one computer to another.

What's very cool about them, well, USB 2.0 is fast enough, but serial ATA supports hot swap...and there are already mobo's coming out with external SATA connectors so you can hot swap HD's from 'puter to 'puter.

It's painful on USB 1.1. Firewire works too, fast enough.

    Here is something to consider.

Get an Enclosure for a harddrive, rather than getting an external kit from maxtor or something,

then get a harddrive of your choice
