Buy DDR while ya can, man!
when do these prices hit us teh customer?
I'd say consumers are seeing the drops already. I just looked at a receipt for a 512 MB stick of Corsair PC3200 I bought in July last year and I paid $350 for it. I recently bought 1 GB of Corsair PC3500 for just under $400.
Hey guys, if this is true guess who's about to upgrade their system to 1024megs of pc2700 crucial xms???

yup! in todays FRY's ad they have 512mb PC2700 ddr for $89.99.
(it's generic)
I'm gonna stock up on them ram now! woooo!
The future for memory chips scares me. Nobody in the field now is making money which means only a few companies will be left when everything shakes out. In the future it seems like we might be paying a lot for memory because there won't be as much competition as there has been for the past few years.
Anyone else worried?

Actually, thanks to the heads up, I did pick up a pair of samsung 512M ECC registered DDR 2700. My server will be so very happy for the hefty RAM upgrade.

I want to learn more and more to see as beautiful what is necessary in things; then I shall be one of those who make things beautiful. Amor fati: let that be my love henceforth! I do not want to wage war against what is ugly. I do not want to accuse; I do not even want to accuse those who accuse. Looking away shall be my only negation. And all in all and on the whole: some day I wish to be only a Yes-sayer.
