Save you money and wait. I run a Echo electronics Darla 24/96 sound card through a Mackie 1604vlz mixer then (optionally) through a Digitech Gsp2101 effects processor. 150W power amp and then in to a pair of Boston Acoutic bookshelf speakers. A little more than a $150 but well worth the money. Talk ...

Ragnarok, MailmanX is correct about the multiplier. I have a 500mhz PIII with PC 100 ram and have bumped mine up to 585 mhz by increasing the FSB. (without any additional cooling) and it stayed stable. But I would not suggest doing this unless you get some extra cooling. I never keep mine set that ...

80 Pin Ide Cables
I hooked up both my Maxtor Udma 33 10gig drives to a new 80 pin Cable, removing the old stock Ide cables . I have read (and it stated on the Belkin box in the store. I did not buy them, I had some at home) that this would increase my drive performance. I have been benchmarking with "Sandra" and I do ...

Two Blonds
2 blonds were walking through the woods when they came upon some tracks. The first blond says "They look like Bear Tracks", the second blond says "They look like Deer Track". 15 minutes later the train came by and hit them.

Ok, Maybe a little clearer here. If you go into your device manager (win98), expand the systems devices tab, click on the "Direct Memory Access Controller", then properties, under settings it gives you the option of setting "reserved DMA buffer". What will this do? Does anyone know or am I digging ...

In the direct memory access controller properties do I gain or lose anything by reserving the buffer and setting the Kbytes reserved to something else

Reference Drivers
I recently purchased a Elsa Gladiac MX board. I upgraded from a VooDoo Banshee so the difference was incredible (I realize there are better boards but this one rings my bell just fine). The board loaded with the drivers on the disk but I noticed that on the disk I am given the option of loading the ...

Thanks for your interest. And I do understand you wanting more info but I have a pretty good handle on my setup and where its going. I was just thinking along the lines of cable manufactures, fan makers etc. I know it sounds pretty simple but those were the only answers I was looking for. Once I ...

I am building a new computer (tower Case) and would like any suggestions etc on how to keep the internals orgainized and routed. I don't need any hardware suggtestions, just some ideas you may have that really worked for you like a certain connector configuration, rounded cables, weird fan setup ...

Ras to Cas
I have installed some new Cas latency 2 spec memory. In my bios I have the Cas Latency set properly. How do I know if I have the Ras-Cas set properly, and the Precharge set properly. I now have all set to "2". And what exactly do these mean
