On a sad day in aviation today, the Liberty Belle crashed enroute from Chicago to Indianapolis. A fire had started while in flight, and the pilot had to put down in a corn field. Fortunately, the crew and passengers all made it safely off the aircraft, but the Belle is a total loss. Just looking at some of the pictures that have been posted on flickr, it's a mess. There's really not much hope for restoring it now

Been here nearly a month now, and we're getting settled in more and more each day. I'm shooting some photos every day, whatever strikes the mood...

Tonight the world was informed that osama bin laden had finally met his fate at the hands of a small U.S. force comprised of CIA operatives and Seal Team 6. His body is currently in U.S. custody, and I would imagine that when everything is said and done, the remains will be obliterated to ensure no one will ever be able to use his burial as a shrine of some sort. The only thing that will be left of him will be the knowledge that he can no longer hurt anyone ever again.

It's been an adventure getting everything set up to get this house, but we closed last week, and moved in over the weekend. Our house is about 2300 sq. feet, sitting on 5 acres of property south of Amarillo. I can't even begin to express how good it feels getting into a home after living in an apartment for the last 5 years.

That was what my mortgage lender told me this afternoon as I was talking to him on the way home from work. So, within the next few days, we close on our house that we've been working to get for the last couple of months...a 2300 sq. foot house on five acres just south of Amarillo. I'm so stoked.
