I've been surfing around..and sites say this is a CASE fan...? is this the same one you're talking about?

Tt SLK-800 & Tt Smart Fan II - exact same setup that I have. Go here to buy (cheapest site that I seen so far for above setup) & Hear what 4000rpms generally sound like vs. CFM rating:

for a 2600, the ALPHA PAL8045 is awesome ... .i have one on my other rig, and it it soo damn good, its pricey (50 dollars) around there..

but DAMN does it work..

I agree the SLK800 is the best cooler to use. There are other heatsinks that may work a bit better like a Swiftech but it costs more.

I have a SLK-800 Comeing from NewEgg Right Now- I had to Get the Thermalright AX-7 off My Asus A7n8x Board becuse it is to tight - the SLK-800 is the Hot cooler Now - I will Be running a Tornado 80mm fan - Alot of Sound from the Fan -Great Cooling
