450 to spend....

need, case, hard drive, video, sound (onboard fine), modem, memory, processor, mobo...

now heres the kicker...

i got a AMD XP1800 lyin around and a ASUS p4s533 mobo....

so i can use one of them.... it would most likely be cheaper to get a AMD mobo....

so whos got reccomendations.....

I would stick with that wonderful Motherboard you already have (p4s533) and get the following and have yourself a 2.4ghz - 533 fsb system(after an easy o/c of course)

thanks guys... both are similar to what ive thought about.... also glad to see one AMD and one P4....

the system isnt for me though... dont know if i said that....

the guy has a burner and a CD-rom..... i guess a floppy too... hence why i dont need those....

any other suggestions still being accepted....

he wants to play games like myst with the system... nothing too fancy.....
