Hi, I've logged onto this board to ask if anyone can tell me how to make a computer scan of an xray, or take a digital photo of it. I just get black when I try. Much appreciated.
try using a piece of black paper on top of the x-ray ????
welcome to speedguide :)
Hello, Mia
A scanner won't do it so use a camera. It needs to be lit from the back. A light table (as used for sorting slides) would work.
Try taping it to a window and let sunlight shine through it. You'd probably need to use a tripod.

Okay -- how did you do that!! I also tried just "popping" the xray into my scanner but just got black... I was resigned to taking a photo with the xray on the window.
Well, I expected it to be black because I didn't think there would be enough reflected light.
Set, did you use a transparency adapter?
Nope just poped it in my scaner and hit scan
Its a Hp scanjet 2200c

I've scanned mine before and they came out just fine.
Well, OK.
I may have been wrong on something once before, too.
