I had a few questions as to how to set a few features of my BIOS. I figured since it is directly related to the hardware that it would be more appropriate in this forum rather than the software forum. I have quite a few questions so i thank you in advance for spending the time to read/answer any or all of them :)

I have an Asus A7V333-R mobo running the AV33311 BIOS version (latest one available from Asus).

First the System performance selection under the advanced tab. It gives me 2 options Optimal and Turbo. What are the pros/cons of either setting and what determines what mode is right for my system? (system specs down in sig)

Graphics aperture size. It is currently at the default of 64 megs, is their a benefit/reason to adjust this at all? Last time I dug up any info on this I was running a 32 meg Matrox G400 and now I am running a Visiontek GeForce4 Ti4600 w/128 DDR so i thought I should revisit the question to see if anything has changed.

Plug and Play OS...running XP should I set this to Y or N or leave it be?

Boot up floppy seek. Should this be Y or N or leave it be? Currently the floppy is first in the boot sequence, will leaving this "floppy seek" setting at it's current N setting make it not possible for me to boot from a system disk if needed?

Finally if someone could help me determine why my +12v is running around 13.00-13.05 volts and what I can do to remedy it I would be ecstatic!

Here's another good BIOS Tweaking (http://www6.tomshardware.com/howto/01q3/010725/index.html) article. For your questions above:

1. Turbo - it's faster.

2. Graphics aperture size - 128.

3. Plug and Play OS - Y.

4. Boot up floppy seek - N.

:) ;)
