These are generic drivers for newer monitors. The GS17 was new back in 95. If you check the info on these they don't include the older models. (way old !) I guess that says something good about Viewsonic monitors eh ? I'm running Windows 2000 Pro.

Funny, Reco.

Um der.........

That's just it: It's old and i don't think windows has a generic driver for it.

No luck at either site. I've checked most driver sites but thought perhaps someone might know of one that's less known.

Thanks all for your help !

That download from Viewsonic, which self extracts and pukes out a hundred or so files, didn't have a driver for it? I thought that covered every monitor they ever made. Isn't one model close enough to run it better than the generic Windows built in driver?

Ping, anyone into top graphics or performance in gaming won't want the generic MS driver....always get much better performance, especially in the refresh rate area, using the makers drivers.

Stonecat- BINGO ! FOUND IT !

It was in the pile of drivers from that download at Viewsonic. I was going about extracting it wrong. I was looking for that driver specifically instead of going into setting, advanced, monitor, properties, monitor, driver, and checking the list !

Thanks for your help !
