View Full Version : NooB ? about an AMD XP 2200....

I purchased an AMD athlon XP 2200 today and I am wondering what the BIOS should see it as...currently when I look in the BIOS it says 1800 mhz........!

Yeah, Thats what it is, It's not acually a 2200mhz, Thats just the name AMD puts on them. Something about that is what it's compared to.:D

XP1600+ = 1.4Ghz
XP1700+ = 1.433Ghz
Xp1800+ = 1.533Ghz
............and so on..

XP2200+ = 1800Mhz :D

But they do actually run faster than the Pentium 4 1.8Ghz if you trying to compare them. It would probably come close to an 2.4Ghz ~ 2.6Ghz in performance of P4. Run some Sandra benchmarking and you'll see :)
