Problem,HDD dissapeared

Hello.I just got a "lil" problem here.I was restarting windows and suddenly one of my 160 GB HDD's dissapeared.This happend to me third time,i tryed "everything".After reinstalling win XP everything is ok but after few days that HDD keep dissapearing.I got him on pci ide controller.Here is my configuration : MB th7 II raid,1024mb rambus 800,P IV 2.2 etc etc ;IDE 1 : 80,20,ide2 :sony dvd,plextor 40 12 40A,ide3 :160gb,ide4:free,pci ide controller : 160gb hdd ....all hdd's r maxtor ide.I dont know what could be the problem ....I even tryed partion magic but it didnt resolve my problem because HDD is not detected in windoze ,i think there is some conflict but i have no idea where ....

maybe your running too many HDDs for your bios to handle. Or your Power Supply is shutting off ur HDD because its pushing out too much power for your Power Supply to handle

its fixed now ...thx u for reply
btw i got 2 bios ..one is the regular one and second one is for the Raid or IDE .
I just changed that pci ide conmtroller and i gave it in different pci slot ...all working now
