Hey Dias,

Different Motherboards have different places and even ways. Usually you can see how to clear your CMOS in your MoBo manual, or sometimes it will be distinguishable on the MoBo itself.
Saying something like "clear CMOS".

This is where a little bit of energy is stored so that your BIOS settings can be remembered.
Usually, if you unplug the power cord to your puter and put a jumper to connect 2 pins, or sometimes, just "fold" down the factory installed jumper.

It all depend on which MoBo you have...

Have you ever taken the side off of your puter and looked in it?
What type of experience do you have "fooling" around inside of a puter with it's hardware?

You need to let us know what MoBo and how much you know about it before we can give further guidance...

Most of the time the cmos jumper is real close to the battery. On a lot of newer systems the jumper is green and in very small print it will say something like "cmos or clr or clrcmos".

Hope this helps

No, removing the battery probably did not do it...
As Sid said, look for something like clrcmos, something that will let you know that it will clear cmos... Look good and post back when you think that you have found something...

hmm..

What color is the board?

What is the type of fan on the Northbridge (the little fan on the motherboard) if there is no fan, what color is the northbridge?

There's usually some type of marking near the PCI slots.
