I want to use a small white fluorecent lamp after I modded a window into the side of my case .Will it in any way cause any negatives effects on my hardware .Will there be any EMI or something to worry about ?

do you really mean Fluroescent? or is it a neon or cathode. Fluorescents put out some NASTY EMI and you don't want it close to a computer.

Ok This is my definition of fluorecent . That long white tubes { in my case a short one } that makes a few flashes when it comes on . I hope you know what I mean :)

The ballast for a fluorescent lamp creates quite a bit of EMI. If the ballast in encased in a metal shroud you may be able to do it.

Just make sure that the case of the ballast is firmly connected to the PC's case itself. This way the ground of the power supply will help ground the case of the ballast. A good ground will help with shielding the EMI.

The draw back is, if it's not grounded or shielded well enough, you might get some data loss or a hum in your speakers.

I don't know how different a fluorescent ballast is from a neon ballast, but I haven't had any problems with two neon ballast in my PC.

I am going to bolt the ballast on the case outside the case with a heatsink on cause like I have seen that thing gets hot
