I have received "i.love.linux.because.windows-sucks.com"
The guy said he set it up as a CNAME
Anyone got any idea on how to set this up for my computer?
More info needed... What OS, who's running the DNS server ( bind or whatever), what do you mean by setting it up for your computer ?
If you're on DHCP connection you might have trouble keeping this hostname when your IP changes, etc. etc. etc.
What are you trying to do exactly ?

Windows XP/Red Hat Linux. I want to use itfor my eggdrop :D.
I am on DHCP, but the person who gave me the vhost set it for my d2g client (master7.myip.org)
Well, all the setup needed is in the DNS server for that hostname, in your case windows-sucks.com.
As far as I can tell, it's working, the domain redirects to 67.33.100.45
If you open a server on that box, you can use the hostname "i.love.linux.because.windows-sucks.com" to reference it rather than its IP address, that's all it means.

I just want my eggdrop to use it :D
In the conf file, I added the line
set my-hostname "i.love.linux.because.windows-sucks.com"
But, it dosen't do it :(
I'm lost. Maybe I'll go post on the egg forum
