I was thinking of Putting a top 120 mm blowhole in my case and was thinking of getting one of those neat clear bladed enermax fans. Im putting in a window soon, probably will light it with a blue neon light. I thought it would match nicely to get like 2 ultralight blue leds and put it on each side of the fan so the clear blades would take up the blue led and kind glow blue. Anyone know if its possible?

yep, not too hard either

find out the voltage of the ultrabright leds

most of the regular blue leds that i use run fine off the 12v line with a 470ohm resistor

post the voltage and i'll help you out

you can run it off the fan power, one cool mod you migth wanna try is sticking the led IN the fan instead of near it. like drill a hole in a blade or two and stick a blue led in it. when the fan spins up itll glow like ur waving a burnt stick around in a circle.

Glowy fan instructions (http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=838)

the clear blade thing is really cool too :)

OMG that is about the coolest strider, lol that definately is goin on my list......and with a hurricane grill to top it...its gonna look sweet.

Only problem is I havent decided if I want a window or not (probably wont)

but I wonder how much light I would see if I still put cold cathode lights in a stock Cooler Master ATC-210

ORRR I can add the fan to the side (where I COULD have a window) and then add the blue light to the fan on TOP as well...it would still come through stock grate.....yeah....definately...

THANK YOU STRIDER!! that was about the coolest SMALL Idea ever....and great link

ok just reread the directions.....that might take a while for me:D

I havent worked much with solder....thats kind of an advanced thing right there for a little fan...I could DO it...maybe 5 fans later :rotfl:

anyone actually ever done this mod that knows how hard it is?
