I'm about to send my order through for a new AMD CPU/mobo setup. I'm torn between the Abit KG7-RAID, or for $20US more the ASUS A7V266-E.....

i need opinions.

thanks

because i've been reading these and other(ptthhhtt) hardware forums for 3 days now and can't even think straight!!!!!!!!!

here's the final verdict, i elected to go with neither and chose the Abit KR7A-RAID mobo with the VIA KT266A / VIA VT8233 chipset, with an AthlonXP1600 CPU.

:p :p :p :

well abit has a growing number or rmas but thats not ur problem, if its DOA then u get another that works from where u ordered it . but the board itself is very nice with quality options for tweaking and overclocking has tempature warnings and shutdown options and the cd has the drivers needed plus hardware monitor for temps and voltages and comes with a norton antivirus 2002 as well.
