I need to start to learn XML. I've done some VBA, VB, SQL work but no XML, HTML etc. What I would like to do is find something that would let me parse the info from a web page to another file format so that I can manipulate the data for reporting purposes (on our companies web site)

If the web page is in XHTML format (HTML that conforms to XML standards), then you only need to use XSLT (eXtensible Stylesheet Language Transformations) to transform it into anything you like. You can you something like Xalan (http://xml.apache.org) to do the actual transformation. You just need to feed it the XSLT (the definition of how to transform the document) and the web page, which isn't very hard to do--once you know XML and XSLT. I'd suggest that you pick-up some books on those topics. I have found both the books Learning XML (http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/learnxml/) and XSLT (http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/xslt/) fairly useful.
