Hey, i gonna build a pc over christmas from my 3000$ from working and i wanna buy a good dual amd mp or xp board. Anyone know of a good company that makes a good dual board that supports the new mp or xp processors, thank you.

I dunno about the XPs but Tyan has 2 board for the MPs...

don't know models off hand though..

Epox has officially announced theirs, along w/ GigaByte. I believe Asus, MSI & IWill also have dual boards in the works.
By mid to late Nov we should know more about what will be available.

Stay one step behind the curve and save a TON of money....

You should be able to build your next FOUR PC's with that kinda cash.

Like BaLa said, Tyan has two of them that support the Athlon MP processors; the Thunder K7 and the Tiger MP.

I'm not trying to change your mind or anything but I wouldn't recommend getting a dual AMD system unless you're using it as a server, but even then... You'd have to use an NT kernel operating system to be able to utilize both processors and if that's not enough, not all games and programs use SMP. Quake III Arena uses SMP so your in luck for a few more fps in that game....

Heh, I don't know, for the price I just don't think it's worth it! ;)
