Throw a Quake 3 benchmark up there!

SiSoft never means jack diddely for most, it's what you use on a day to day basis that counts.

BUT a Q3 bench won´t check the CPU speed --> OS, det., HDD, GPU know what I am saying...??

"brb with the Q3 bench *d/l* pointrelease 1.30"

Q3TA v1.27g, MPDEMO01:
1024*768, High Detail, 32 Bit, Triliniar and Compressed Textures with the download on --> 87FPS

Q3TA v1.30, FOUR:
same --> 105,4FPS

things like 3d games are not good cpu benchmarks, since they rely on what kind of video card you have

to test cpu speed with video cards in a comparison you must turn the game to it's lowest settings possible so that you can properly compare between cpu's with the video card not getting too much in the way...

i.e 640x480x16 with lowest settings

Heh , thats a fine question ...

The PIII-1000 skor the same like P4 - 1400 ,and the scores of the P4-2000 is not far from the P4-1400 or P4-1600 .

So what i say , i say that the CPUs arena have come to a dead end ,as the curent technology it can not help them to raise more reall power .

I have read somewere about the IBM ,and a new tecnology that they plan to use , it called the CELL core .

In the near future we will see this new architecture in CPUs .

For the moment lets stick in what ever we have .
But the bottom line is that the current CPUs i ven from Intel and AMD ,they do not have really big deferences in performance.
Yea yea the AMD ones ,is a bit faster , ok i know that :)

Yep from what I hear the core will be part organic... So technically it will have a real brain almost. Humans are the most advanced computers. Hold on I put some pants on... Gotta restart;)
