yeah but its most likely cas 3 ram and not 2

its the latency, the lower the better, lowest is 2. at pc133 cas 2 ram is much faster tan cas 3

generic = stay away

Brands like Crucial, Mushkin, Viking, Corsair = good

Generic = BAD and you are rolling the dice

Name Brand = GOOD (I recommend Crucial)

Accually I don't want to say generic is good but if you go to the trouble sometimes of checking who makes the chip rather than what name is on it you can get really great deals.
I do aggree with the fact that generic memory is generally bottom of the line but ask questions before you decide to buy the name brand memory first.


Local shop useing there company name such as compusa have been know to use chips made by pny and viking and package it in a plain box with the store name on it.
