I can't decide whether to wait for the Nvidia Nforce boards to arrive or go out and buy an, Asus A7V266.

The A7N266 looks extemely good especially for gaming with it's Nvida chipset. However the A7V266 is proven to be a great mobo in both graphics with it's AGP Pro Port and overclocking with it's extreame stability and easy overclockability. Add to this the KT266 chipset and I really really want it!!

Should I wait or not my money is desperatley trying to get out of my wallet screaming for the A7V266 and preparing to fly over the computer shop counter.

Help me decide......before my cash spends it's self!!!

for the people that hate via, why?

their KT266A is TOP NOTCH, not even any compatiblity problems, their KT266 was good, and believe it or not the kt133a was actually a good chip

Brent, which part of my Abit KT7A is responsible for the AGP bugs that I and others are experiencing? I agree with you that the kt133a in general is a good chipset but i'm a little ticked due to the problems that I've been running into. (I believe the agp bus runs through the northbridge but thats just off the top of my head)

via seems to be whipping the snot out of AMD and intel's flagship 760 and i850 chipsets..so i don't know where you see the suck part.. although i will say their 4 in 1 drivers are flakey sometimes..e.g. certain versions will BSOD win2k/xp (uck)

KT266A beats nforce chipset in gaming benchmarks, follow link:

So in light of this I'm going to get the Asus A7V266-E because my new machine is mainly for gaming and with the A7V overclocking functions it's price and this tweak I found to allow for higher core voltages :

I just can't resist this awesome motherboard.

Thnx guys.
