Hercules GTXP or Creative Audigy ?? that is the question.
I want a new sound card but can't decide which one I want. I don't need all the extra usb ports that are on the external rack but like hercules products, on t he other hand I have an sb live value right now and haven't had any problems out of it.

any suggestions or other sound cards you can recommend ??

I just can't decide.

I'd go with what's tried and true, Creative All The Way!!!

24 bit and 94 khz sample rate. It rivals low end pro cards.

Also the DAC has been improved over the Live card. Unless you need a pro card, this one rocks.

One more thing, from what I read, no problems like the Live had with VIA chipsets. :)

I like my audigy :)

Plus you can't argue with the free firewire connector, either.

I love mine......BUT alot of people are having problems with it.

(check the Hercules forums)

They do not have Win XP drivers out yet.......

but after saying all that, mine works fine on a PC dual booting 2000 and 98se.

good luck

My comment about drivers was for the Hercules card.
