I mean how diffrently are a athlon 1.4, and althlon 1.3 made. What is put in the faster chip to make it go faster??

They're all made the same way, just that some chips are higher quality than others. The higher Quality ones get stamped with a higher Mhz rating and vice versa for the low quality chips.

yep, they are all the same thing, save for chip markings and yeild

yield determines how fast it goes

some are of a good yield which can be clocked higher stable, they are marked as so

others cannot so they are marked as slower

this is why chips are overclockable cause there is always a margin of error, and we can overclock within this margin, that's why if you go to high it becomes unstable, cause AMD or Intel tested the chip at this higher speeed and said it can't do it stable enough for retail or OEM use.....
