....so where did you come up with Garibaldi II?
looks like an ECS motherboard...

But why would you even want to look at a P4 w/SDRAM?
cheaper...? maybe..
If u must get a P4 get one with RDRAM or DDR-RAM

Listen to these guys advice, don't get the i850 using SD-RAM, go for the Rambus or DDR or you'll seriously regret it. It bottlenecks the entire system if you go sd(Especially for P4 system, which are memory bandwidth hungry mofos).

I personally went SD because the difference on a AMD system wasn't that big and I'm reaching DDR speeds with my SD system(Not like the AMD761 or KT266A, but ALi Magik and KT266 speeds). The money you save on stinging will come back to bite you in the arse later in performance. BTW If you get a motherboard, make sure it's socket 478 and not the older 420-something(Same thing goes for the P4 cpu.). If you can wait, hold off till the P4X266 chipset comes out. It have Rambus speeds using DDR.

if ur getting this thru gateway for a gateway system then its ok, dont expect top performance, expect average or so. if ur getting this on ur own, then again its ok, and u'll do a little better than average and may even be able to overclock depending on the quality of the ram and HSF u have or buy, and terrance, it looks like the i850 is RDRAM based. but yes u want RDRAM or DDR RAM.

personally if i were to buy a P4 i'd wait for the redesigned P4 and teh via mobo that supports DDR ram for it.

Guys thanks for the replies. The only reason Im going through gateway is, my company is offering to buy and I pay them back at no interest.
