I wish to format time as a quantity on a spreadsheet not as a chronological period. Not even sure if this is the correct way to express this.

My problem is that I cannot show any shortfalls in time theoretically needed and time taken on jobs

ie 5 hours assessed, 7 hours taken therefore -2hour deficit

No, formats.

Currently using [h]:mm and while using the sum function allows me to exceed 24hours as a total it still will not allow me to produce a negative result.

I need a format that allows me to do this
