I have all the settings added from the tweak page for win2k, but my rwin still reads at 16384 when I test it on dslreports? Can someone please tell me what I have wrong? When I try to use the patches from this sight it changes nothing.

Do this please:
1. Go to http://forums.speedguide.net/optd.shtml and click on check connection.
2. Copy all this by highlighting everything in box with mouse
(you may have to make box smaller. To copy contents of box, highlight, then hit Ctrl & c, on your keyboard, when you return to Speedguide in reply box, with cursor blinking, hit Ctrl & v, this will copy contents in box so I may look at it. Thank you. :)

I've got to go but from what you say patch is not installed, it is a zip patch, did you unzip it and reboot, if you need something to unzip it with go to www.download.com (http://www.download.com) and download winzip 8.0, come back and click on patch you downloaded and select winzip wizard, follow instructions, reboot, retest :)

Here it is, also when I do a latency test my tracert shows 20-40ms?

TCP options string = 020405b40103030201010402

MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.

MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which seems to be equal to MSS.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 256960
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 2 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 64240
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)

bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 10278.4 kbps (1284.8 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 4111.36 kbps (513.92 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = true

Time to live left = 53 hops
TTL value is ok.
Note that this is smaller than your actual value, since TTL is decreased by 1 with each hop. If you'd like the exact number, you'd need to add the number of hops between you and the server to the value above.

Timestamps (RFC1323) = false

Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = true

IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

:confused:

Hit and run, I feel like since he did not back up registry probably, won't be long before he'll have to put on big pot of coffee.
reformatting time? :)
