Lobo..here you go..this is in regards to my question earlier regarding post
Topic: Tweaks and RoadRunner (cincinnati

Do you think I need to change anything??

TCP options string = 020405ac01010402

MTU = 1492
MTU seems to be optimized for PPPoE... If you are not on a PPPoE connection, consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for optimal throughput.

MSS = 1452
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1452, which is equal to MSS.
MSS is optimized for PPPoE. If you are not on a PPPoE connection, consider increasing your MTU value.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 65340
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 65340
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
511104 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
255552 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
127776 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
63888 (MSS x 44)

bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 2613.6 kbps (326.7 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 1045.44 kbps (130.68 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON

Time to live left = 115 hops
TTL value is ok.

Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF

Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

Turn timestamps on setting dword -3 (Tcp1323Opts) this page tells you how and where http://www.speedguide.net/Cable_modems/cable_registry.shtml :)

I dont see anything like

DWORD
or
Tcp1323Opts
or
PMTUBlackHoleDetect
in my registry

I went to the page http://www.speedguide.net/Cable_modems/cable_registry.shtml like you said and look at the part that describes this..but I dont have it in my registry..and I havent hacked into the reg..so I know its not something that I did

Am I looking for the wrong key/value?

OK , rather than have you fooling around in registy do this and on Dr. TCP where it says time stamping select-YES, An yes if you go to the page above it's on there but do this:
Please go to this http://www.dslreports.com/front/drtcp.htmlRL
Download DR. TCP to your desktop
Where it saids adapter settings, select your adapter
Where it says Windows sclaing- yes
Where it says Selective Acks-yes
Path MTU Discovery - yes
Black Hole Detection - No
TTL-64 or 32 (up to you)

Where it says Time Stamping, select yes
The choices I give above will not affect speed, click apply
Reboot for changes to take affect

Do not change any numbers in this box unless you know what you are doing.
A blank box only means that the default setting is being used :) :)

I'm sorry but you will have to go to www.microsoft.com (http://www.microsoft.com) under knowledge base and ask, I don't type that well and don't have the time, but do it please, knowledge base will be under support at top of page

I'm sorry but it does not appear you have patch installed, go to where you unzipped it to, RIGHT chick on it, and up to install or merge, click (Left), reboot, retest, repost results :)
