my d/l speeds are amazing which are a constant 130-140kbps, but now in CS i get 130-150ping with a server that's controlling a t1 connection.
i installed the sguide_tweak_98_pppoe patch and made some changes for MTU and RWIN.
what is the recommened # for RWIN because i think that is making me my high ping. and should i turn on TIMESTAMPS on??

Here are my stats:

TCP options string = 020405ac010303010101080a000000000000000001010402

MTU = 1492
MTU seems to be optimized for PPPoE... If you are not on a PPPoE connection, consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for optimal throughput.

MSS = 1452
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1440, which is less than MSS because of Timestamps, or other TCP/IP options used.
MSS is optimized for PPPoE. If you are not on a PPPoE connection, consider increasing your MTU value.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 127776
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 1 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 63888
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
511104 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
255552 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
63888 (MSS x 44)

bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 5111.04 kbps (638.88 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 2044.416 kbps (255.552 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON

Time to live left = 53 hops
TTL value is ok.

Timestamps (RFC1323) = ON
Note: Timestamps add 12 bytes to the TCP header of each packet, reducing the space available for useful data.

Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

what should i change?? any suggestions??
plz help because i can't stand 130 ping when i normally ping 75-80 in that server.
thz guys for any replies and ur time to help me thz.

dsl reports says:Tweaking will not fix
Packet loss
Multiplayer games over UDP
Your ping time
Regular PC freezes
Inherited hair loss

Dsl reports say it fixes the following:
Tweaking may fix
Slow download speeds
Download slower than upload speed
Skipping in TCP streaming video/audio
Blank web pages
Connection issues to some sites

then whats the point of tweaking if it does those kind of things?

511104 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
255552 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
63888 (MSS x 44)

recomended Rwin is right in front of you..
Speedguide is more than happy to do the Math for you...
Try lowering you MTU a touch........

Man I hate them quotes from DSLReports..
Look if the patch raised your ping overall lower the MTU down to about 1476 to 1492..
Drop the Rwin down to oe of the numbers above.
People that don't do allot of gaming benifit from larger Rwins with the speed at its maximum people that game sure the games are Based on UDP but but not tweaking your connection to get the best preformance wont help gaming either...
