my d/l speeds are amazing which are a constant 130-140kbps, but now in CS i get 130-150ping with a server that's controlling a t1 connection.
i installed the sguide_tweak_98_pppoe patch and made some changes for MTU and RWIN.
what is the recommened # for RWIN because i think that is making me my high ping. and should i turn on TIMESTAMPS on??
Here are my stats:
TCP options string = 020405ac010303010101080a000000000000000001010402
MTU = 1492
MTU seems to be optimized for PPPoE... If you are not on a PPPoE connection, consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for optimal throughput.
MSS = 1452
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1440, which is less than MSS because of Timestamps, or other TCP/IP options used.
MSS is optimized for PPPoE. If you are not on a PPPoE connection, consider increasing your MTU value.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 127776
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 1 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 63888
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
511104 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
255552 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
63888 (MSS x 44)
bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 5111.04 kbps (638.88 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 2044.416 kbps (255.552 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 53 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = ON
Note: Timestamps add 12 bytes to the TCP header of each packet, reducing the space available for useful data.
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000
what should i change?? any suggestions??
plz help because i can't stand 130 ping when i normally ping 75-80 in that server.
thz guys for any replies and ur time to help me thz.
