3COM 3c990-tx

Anybody have this NIC? what can you tell me about it.. anygood for Win98:SE or are these "enhanced features" only good for Win2k

I just failed to get this card to work under win2k. I then tried to get a 3c905B-TX and failed. I am back to running my old 3c905-tx. I would love to hear from others on there hair pulling adventures with 3com. I have loved 3com for a long time....... Looks like I am seeing why they are getting out of the enterprise game.

Learn how to use their NIC config utility on the stubborn machines, and you'll get it every time. I've played with thousands and thousands of NICs on my job, on all kinds of machines, and 3COM remains my fave.
