UT net speed

When I play UT online with a cable modem and hit F6 to view my rate the bytes “in/out” are usually around 1000 in and 4000 out. I have the rate caped to 5000.

My ping to a server can be as low as 50 and this is still the case.

Is there a setting that would allow my bytes in to be greater?

My file download speeds are great but it would seem to me that the game is being received at the speed less than a 28.8 modem.

Modem users get a rate of 2600.

On my server, I cap the MaxClientRate to 5000. This keeps people from hogging bandwidth. 5000 is a very playable rate.

Well that’s what I mean….
On the server I play on the max client rate is caped to 8000.

I have the rate caped to 5000 in my config and when I hit F6 it shows 1000 in and 4000 out,

It would seem to me that it should be more like 4000 in and 4000 out.

The ping to the server does not mater it seems as if the 1000/4000 holds true where ever I go to play.
