gettin DSL in 2 weeks NEED HELP!

Hi everybody. Im sort of a newbie when it comes to DSL. I just wanna know what kind of pings Ill have in like Hl,Q3,Ut and what my download speed will probably be. Im getting Mindspring DSL 1500/384 for $50 month. I live in New York (I know it goes threw Atlanta http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/frown.gif ) And I live about 12500 ft from CO. I know that is far but the guy told me its perfect distance but I think that BS. Also Im getting an Efficient Ethernet DSL modem model 5260. Thanks for your support! Also im goin to use Mindspring as an ISP

well i havve adsl 768/384 and am 4000 ft from co and i get 40+ pings usualy 60 to 80 tho ,it all depends on how far you are from isp, i used to get 200 pings from previous dsl but isp was in california and me in michigan. now my isp is in michigan and lots better so hope you get a good one ,makes a difference later & good luck

My average ping at HL (counter-strike) is about 70 to 100. I don't have any idea how far i'm from the CO but it sure not a lot. I got top download speed of 896Kbps(for a claimed maximum of 960Kbps).

well.. Im getting ADSL soon ,,,is that different to DSL?ok well i just want to know if my ping will be good. right now at home I have a 56k modem and my ping is from 400-600 on a 4 green dot server...and I want to know what ADSL what be if i play on a 4 dot green server! http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/smile.gif
