Here's the problem:

I have a linksys 10/100 ethernet dsl/cable router with a single ip dsl connection. UT allows multiple logins, but apparently Quake doesn't.

At first I thought this was a setup problem. But I think this is a problem with quake's servers....

I could be wrong, however, so if anyone knows how to solve this problem, please let me know. And, if you think or know that is a quake problem, the email John Carmack or any of those guys and bug them to allow multiple logins from the same ip on the next update.

Thanks,

I have a 3 PC Peer to Peer LAN at home with 1 PC using 56K modem. I use "Sygate V3.1" from Sybergen. With this I can have all 3 PC using the single modem & browsing is no problem.

2 of the 3 can Quake and the lag is negligible. This software costs about 35-50 (depends on where you buy it) & it supports cable modems.
