Lower Lantcy with @home

I have @home and I get much higher ping then my friends who also have @home. I have a athlon 750 with 128 mb. using RCA modem. There using slower computers with Motorolas modem, but they are living in the city, I'm 1 hour away.

Just to put my thoughts in. @Home has this new Upload cap on modems (if not yours, just wait). Mine is 15kb/sec (bleh). It may be that or it may be the time you play...latency does not really have much to do with you vid card(maybe a little) and ram (it is mostly processing power)...but the problem you have is not your computer, it is your ISP.
