Just saw a movie on Team Fortress 2...

The thing looked like a scene out of Saving Private Ryan! My god! The movie I saw was a video someone took of someone elses computer screen with a video camera at a show somewhere in Europe, and it still looked great! I am going to camp out in front of CompUsa all night to get it.

I've been waiting for TF2 for a long time now, anyone have an idea on when they are going to release it? (I know somone said September, but I'm not sure if that was a guess)

Yeah I heard the same thing, it was in Maximum PC this month. They are sending it back to the drawing board with a scratch-built 3D engine.

IMO that sucks and Valve should up the pace here a bit, or they should have never announced it as far in advance as they did. That's torturous and inhuman! http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

Ohh i wish a demo would come. Even with the same 3D engine as other games use to I would still pay it, and if I could i'd run it in OpenGL. Man it looks so cool, and it will have to with a brand spankin new 3D engine. Hey cableboy can ya give me a link to that movie you saw I really wana see it?

I heard about the new engine a few months ago, well before the magazine said so.
If you read the article, it shows you that TF2 has been in development for YEARS. It was actually going to be a Quake mod, then a HL mod (Valve bought TeamFortress Software). It has been in development for as long as HL was so don't complain. Just go about your life and don't think about it.
