Hi,

I am very new to this, so please bare with me.

I have an WAG160N linksys gateway/router set at the main telephone box of the house. I have my IP phone modem, satellite receiver, ps3 in my room, I want to connect those 3 using cable. Now, I can't connect them to my WAG160n because it is very far and cannot be done taking in fact my house structure.

I heard of a way to connect my WAG160n wireless (no cable) to another repeater/ap/router and use the new router ports to connect the cables to the devices i want to use.

I was reading about the linksys WET610N bridge? can I use this with my WAG160N (wirelessly) and then connect the WET610N to a router/switch and then connect my devices to the router/switch using cables.

Any help or way?

Thank you in advance for your cooperation

You would probably need a crossover cable to link it the router to the new device or a regular patch cable one end of the cable to the wan ,and the other to lan but they may not always work...

The crossover is used usualy when you are connecting like devices rotuers to routers swtiches to switches...
