I usto have the same problem and it really got on my nerves so I calld my internet probider and tel them my situation and it stop!!!!
P.S.
I seen cases like that do you said you have a proxy?
well my point is if you do sombody might be using your proxy server as a somby to make dosattcks to XXXX server or provider and as a legal method they make trace back or they allready did and they are checking where you run the proxy from. or pray not!!! a hacker is tring to acces your pc or network so he is scaning to se the week spot.

..most likely it's your isp doing a routine scan on your whole subnet to see who may be running a server. if your using @home, like myself, then they are deffinitely checking for this reason only. it's against their policy to be running any kinda severs. i don't think you should have anything to worry about at all.

Consider it a *good thing* that they are keeping tabs on the users on your node. Stops the clown from down the street from running a porn server and killing your speed http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/smile.gif

If you are running a server, @Home's scan's stop at port 4000 anyways, so just set it to 20,000 or so and you'll be fine.
