could someone assist me in explaining how I would go about sending a "net send" message to a machine(NT) that is on a diff. Domain using W2K? thanx

NET SEND {name | * | /DOMAIN[:name] | /USERS} message

you should be able to just plug in your domain that 2k is using in the [:name] area that's above.

note- /USERS will send to all users on the server
