I also have noticed that all the yellow that represents a new post or thread, sometime disapears eventhough I may not have even entered the thread or forum. Just another thing to keep you from getting sleep. :(

That's how it works... It does not track every post you have/haven't read.

If you want to track which posts you've read, the links that you've visited should be a slightly different shade of blue...

Shouldn't the folder be yellow filled if there are new replies since the last time I visited? That's the way it was before, now it's hit or miss for me.

The light bulbs on the front page always indicate when there is a new post, but when I enter, say General Discussion, none of the folders are yellow. This happens quite often to me, even though I know there are new replies within a topic.

I think that's what Ric is trying to say....

Well... The "New" folders are threads/forums since you last visited the UBB... Meaning if you leave, then come back none is going to appear as new, regardless of whether you've viewed them or not.

If that's not the case, try pinpointing when does it do that, I haven't noticed it.

Ok.

When I go to a forum. I might just look(not open them) at the threads being posted. Now if I leave the forum and come back. All the new threads that were yellow will now be white even though I did'nt actually open them.

If this is how it is supposed to be, then disregard please this thread.
