while browsing cnet.com's windows 98 usenet message board, i answered a question concerning letting windows manage your swap files (the problem seemed to be that the guys swap file just kept geeting bigger, and never reverted to minimum size) i suggested he read the article "vcache settings" here at speedguide. another user(a "ron badour")
wrote back that the article was nonsense and proceeded to trash the entire concept.
having a slow computer, and only 48 megs of memory, i found that the recommendations help my computers speed quite a bit.
what do you think?
