Hello,

I'm in the market for a new (wireless) router to replace my ageing
Netgear DG835 V3.
At first, I was going to replace it with a Netgear wireless router, but
after reading loads
of reviews (some good, some bad), I decided to look at other makes.

Eventually I narrowed my search down to the Belkin name and then to two
models.
The "N1 Vision Wireless Router" (F5D8632uk4A) and the "N Wireless Modem
Router" (F5D8636uk4A).

Out of these two I decided on the "N Wireless Modem Router" as it was
within my budget
and I didn't need the range of the N1.

Before I buy the Belkin N Wireless Modem Router, Can anybody tell me if
this a good choice
of wireless router?

Thanks.

I had to replace my Netgear DG834G, a great piece of equipment.
ADSL-Modem, Router, Switch, AccessPoint all-in-one! (It was physically
damaged.)

I have no fancy needs. A simple home network one server (cable) 3 Mobile
computers and a multifuntion printer/scanner on Wireless. No
restrictions within LAN, all devices have unrestriced access to
Internet, no connections from the Intenet inward.

My present solution is
- ZyXEL Modem/Router P660 from the provider, configured as brigde
- Linksys WRT54GC Router/Switch/AccessPoint with PPPoE login

Details in the thread "two routers colliding" starting 7. Jan.

Does what I need without any hassle.
